Mephibosheth: Covenant Love

The story of Mephibosheth is one of the clearest Old Testament pictures of the gospel. David’s covenant love is proactive, unmerited, and extravagant, giving Mephibosheth what he could never earn for himself. In the same way, God reconciles sinners to Himself through the all-sufficient merit of Jesus and welcomes us to His table.
