missional community groups

You weren't made to live life alone

What is a Missional Community Group?
Missional Community Groups are the heartbeat of Mill Town Church. MC Groups are small gatherings of believers who meet weekly in homes to serve a specific mission, share a meal, study Scripture, and build community. MC Groups are not just Bible studies; they are designed to mobilize you on God's mission right where you live, in relationship with other believers.
Is it similar to a Bible study?
Yes, and no. Missional Community Groups DO study the Bible, but that is not ALL they do. Their primary purpose is to identity and serve a specific mission
How does a group choose its mission?
Each group identifies their own mission based on the interests and strengths within the group, as well as the needs in their community.

A group's mission has to fall within 3 guidelines:
1) It must be something your group can do regularly. The goal is to get out into the community on a consistent basis
2) It must involve people. Getting face to face with people who don't know Jesus is key.
3) It must be something in Fort Mill, Tega Cay, or Rock Hill (i.e., Western York County)
Why should I join a Missional Community Group?
Because you were made for more than just Bible study and church attendance. You were made to belong to the people of God and to devote yourself to the mission of God. In Missional Community Groups, we mobilize our people to go into the harvest and see our community transformed by the gospel. Living on mission is one of the primary ways that God grows us in our own faith.
